The Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Saturday in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election, securing a massive victory.
The RSS-affiliated student body won after counting of votes for the DUSU’s central panel posts of president, vice-president, secretary, and joint secretary concluded on Saturday evening.
Several Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, lauded ABVP’s performance at the key student-body polls. Shah said that ABVP’s victory is an indication of the younger generation believing in the ideology of putting “national interest first”.
